The Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC) and World Resource Institute (WRI India) launched Residential EV charging guidebook during an event at Sector A, Resident Welfare Associate, Vasant Kunj. The guidebook has been developed with an objective to provide step by step guidelines for Delhiites to set up EV charging stations at their premises. It addresses the common concerns of RWA or Residential complexes like Space planning not limiting to present EVs in RWA, choosing the right mix of EV chargers, power load management etc and sharing best practices for RWAs.

During the occasion, Chief Guest of the event, Shri Kailash Gahlot, Transport Minister, GNCTD along with Shri Jasmine Shah, Vice Chairperson of the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi also inaugurated 2 EV charging stations within the premises of RWA. The charging stations are part of 30,000 charging points that will benefit from the INR 6000 of available subsidy under this initiative. Under Switch Delhi campaign, the government has developed a single window facility for citizens to make application for installation of EV charging point and avail the subsidy from the comfort of their homes without any hassles. With the subsidy, one can buy a 3.3 kW LEVAC charger for less than INR 2500 in comparison of existing market price of the charger at more than INR 8500. 

As part of the initiative, the three DISCOMs namely BRPL, BYPL and TPDDL have already empaneled more than 10 EV charger vendors, which will be providing trusted and certified chargers to citizens as per the standards stipulated by the government. One can submit a request for EV charging point installation in less than 5 mins along with EV charging connection (if required) through their respective Discom’s Switch Delhi webpage. The government has mandated an electricity rate of INR 4.5 per unit for all such EV connections, which is among the lowest in India. Under the initiative, more than 100 requests have already been received by 3 DISCOMs and installation of 19 EV charging points have already been completed comprising of both private and semi-public usages. 

The launch of Residential EV charging guidebook was attended by CEO of BRPL, Mr Rajesh Bansal with special invitees as Naresh Yadav, MLA Mehrauli area, and representations from RWA associations like URJA and Federation of CGHS, Dwarka association.  Through this guidebook, Delhi government seeks to encourage all Residential complexes to join hands in promoting Electric vehicles by adopting EV charging at their places. Delhi Government has already taken several steps, including directing all existing commercial and institutional buildings, with a parking capacity of 100 or more vehicles to reserve 5% of their parking space for EVs with suitable EV chargers with a minimum output of 3.3KW. In addition, as per Delhi Development Authority’s amended United Building Bye Laws (2016), 20% of parking capacity in all new constructions, must be provided with charging infrastructure for EVs. 

Delhi government have already adopted a forward-looking comprehensive EV policy on 7th August 2020, with a vision to promote faster adoption of electric vehicles in the city and to make Delhi, the EV capital of India. With an aim to improve Delhi’s air quality, it envisages Electric vehicle sales to reach 25% of all new vehicles by 2024. In 2021, EV sales in Delhi contributed to 5.6% of total vehicle sales, highest in India whereas in the month of Dec 2021, this share was more than 10% for the national capital. Good to see that 13% of total private electric 4W sold in India in 2021, were from Delhi only.

Shri Jasmine Shah, Vice Chairperson of the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi, speaking at the event said, “It is a matter of great pride that Delhi’s residential societies have decided to join the EV revolution under way in Delhi by committing to setup EV chargers through Delhi govt’s single window facility. Today’s launch of the Residential Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Guidebook is an important step to facilitate this activity and Delhi has become the first state government in India to make residential societies and RWAs an integral part of its EV mission. This will go a long way forward in achieving the vision of CM Arvind Kejriwal of setting up an EV charging station within 3 km radius from any point in Delhi and to make Delhi the EV capital of India.

Amit Bhatt, Executive Director, Mobility Initiatives, WRI India mentioned that Research suggests, most of the private motor vehicles are parked for 95% of the time in the parking spaces of residential societies. This provides an excellent opportunity to charge these vehicles if they are electric. Therefore, with the launch of the Residential EV charging Guidebook, the Delhi Government has addressed the most important aspect of EV charging, which is home charging.

Transport Minister of Delhi Shri Kailash Gahlot further stated “Under the visionary leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, our government is committed to make Delhi the EV capital of India. We unveiled a comprehensive EV policy in August 2020 with an objective to achieve a target driven EV adoption in the city by 2024. Through the policy, we have ensured that we do not only incentivize purchase of EVs through demand side incentives but also boost supply side infrastructure such as charging point development through subsidies to citizens and last mile handholding. Single Window facility for charging point installation at private and semi-public places is a unique initiative and would ensure accessibility and affordability of charges for Delhi citizens and reduce their anxiety towards EV adoption. We are confident to ensure access to sustainable transportation to all citizens for Delhi through our holistic initiatives”.

दिल्ली के परिवहन मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत और डायलॉग एंड डेवलपमेंट कमीशन ऑफ़ दिल्ली (डीडीसी) के उपाध्यक्ष जस्मीन शाह ने आज रेजिडेंट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन, वसंत कुंज में एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान आवासीय ईवी चार्जिंग गाइडबुक लॉन्च किया। इस गाइडबुक को डीडीसी और वर्ल्ड रिसोर्स इंस्टिट्यूट (डब्ल्यूआरआई, इंडिया) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से तैयार किया गया है। गाइडबुक में दिल्लीवासियों के लिए आवासीय परिसर में ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशन स्थापित करने से सम्बंधित सभी दिशानिर्देश मौजूद है। इस गाइडबुक के ज़रिए आरडब्ल्यूए या आवासीय परिसरों की ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशन से सम्बंधित सभी चिंताओं एवं प्रश्नो को शामिल करने की कोशिश की गई है और इसमें ईवी चार्जर्स का सही विकल्प, पावर लोड प्रबंधन इत्यादि सहित सभी आवश्यक जानकारियां मौजूद हैं।

इस अवसर पर, कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि परिवहन मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत और डीडीसी के उपाध्यक्ष जस्मीन शाह ने आरडब्ल्यूए के परिसर के भीतर 2 ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशनों का भी उद्घाटन किया। चार्जिंग स्टेशन 30 हजार चार्जिंग पॉइंट्स का हिस्सा हैं, जो इस पहल के तहत उपलब्ध सब्सिडी के 6 हजार रुपये से लाभान्वित होंगे। स्विच दिल्ली अभियान के तहत, सरकार ने नागरिकों के लिए ईवी चार्जिंग पॉइंट की स्थापना के लिए आवेदन करने और बिना किसी परेशानी के अपने घरों में आराम से सब्सिडी प्राप्त करने के लिए सिंगल विंडो  सुविधा विकसित की है। सब्सिडी के साथ, कोई भी व्यक्ति 3.3 केवी एलईवीएसी चार्जर 2500 में खरीद सकता है जो कि मौजूदा बाजार मूल्य 8500 रूपये से काफी कम है।

पहल के हिस्से के रूप में, तीन  डिस्कॉम अर्थात् बीआरपीएल, बीवाईपीएल और टीपीडीडीएल ने पहले से ही 10 से अधिक। ईवी चार्जर विक्रेताओं को सूचीबद्ध किया है, जो सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित मानकों के अनुसार नागरिकों को विश्वसनीय और प्रमाणित चार्जर प्रदान करेंगे। कोई भी अपने संबंधित डिस्कॉम के स्विच दिल्ली वेबपेज के माध्यम से ईवी चार्जिंग कनेक्शन (यदि आवश्यक हो) के साथ 5 मिनट से भी कम समय में ईवी चार्जिंग पॉइंट इंस्टॉलेशन के लिए अनुरोध प्रस्तुत कर सकता है। सरकार ने ऐसे सभी ईवी कनेक्शनों के लिए प्रति यूनिट 4.5 रुपये की बिजली दर अनिवार्य कर दी है, जो भारत में सबसे कम है। इस पहल के तहत, तीनों डिस्कॉम को पहले ही 100 से अधिक अनुरोध प्राप्त हो चुके हैं और 19 ईवी चार्जिंग पॉइंट्स की स्थापना पहले ही पूरी हो चुकी है, जिसमें निजी और अर्ध-सार्वजनिक दोनों प्रकार के उपयोग शामिल हैं।

आवासीय ईवी चार्जिंग गाइडबुक के लॉन्च में बीआरपीएल के सीईओ, राजेश बंसल, महरौली क्षेत्र के विधायक नरेश यादव और आरडब्ल्यूए संघों जैसे यूआरजेए और फेडरेशन ऑफ सीजीएचएस, द्वारका एसोसिएशन के प्रतिनिधि भी मौजूद  थे। इस गाइडबुक के माध्यम से, दिल्ली सरकार सभी आवासीय परिसरों को अपने स्थानों पर ईवी चार्जिंग को अपनाकर इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना चाहती है। दिल्ली सरकार ने पहले ही कई कदम उठाए हैं, जिसमें 100 या अधिक वाहनों की पार्किंग क्षमता वाले सभी मौजूदा वाणिज्यिक और संस्थागत भवनों को 3.3 किलोवाट के न्यूनतम आउटपुट के साथ उपयुक्त ईवी चार्जर वाले ईवी के लिए अपने पार्किंग स्थान का 5 फीसद आरक्षित करने का निर्देश देना शामिल है। इसके अलावा, दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण के संशोधित यूनाइटेड बिल्डिंग बाय लॉज़ (2016) के अनुसार, सभी नए निर्माणों में 20 प्रतिशत पार्किंग क्षमता इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों के लिए चार्जिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के साथ प्रदान की जानी चाहिए।

दिल्ली सरकार ने पहले ही 7 अगस्त 2020 को राजधानी में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को तेजी से अपनाने को बढ़ावा देने और दिल्ली को भारत की ईवी राजधानी बनाने के लिए एक  व्यापक ईवी नीति को अपनाया है। दिल्ली की वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार करने के उद्देश्य से, दिल्ली ईवी नीति के अंतर्गत 2024 तक सभी नए वाहनों के 25 फीसद इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन हों, इसकी परिकल्पना की गई है । 2021 में, दिल्ली में बिके कुल वाहनों में ईवी की बिक्री  का योगदान 5.6 फीसद रहा , जो भारत में सबसे अधिक है । इसके अलावा 2021 में भारत में बिकने वाले कुल निजी इलेक्ट्रिक 4 डब्ल्यू का 13 फीसद केवल दिल्ली से था।

दिल्ली के डायलॉग एंड डेवलपमेंट कमीशन (डीडीसी) की वाइस चेयरपर्सन जस्मीन शाह ने इस कार्यक्रम में कहा, “यह बहुत गर्व की बात है कि दिल्ली की आवासीय सोसायटी ने दिल्ली सरकार की सिंगल विंडो सुविधा के माध्यम से ईवी चार्जर सेटअप कर दिल्ली में चल रही ईवी क्रांति में शामिल होने का फैसला किया है।आवासीय इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन (ईवी) चार्जिंग गाइडबुक का आज का शुभारंभ इस पूरी प्रकिर्या को सुविधाजनक बनाने की दिशा में  एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। दिल्ली सरकार आवासीय सोसायटी और आरडब्ल्यूए को इस ईवी क्रांति में अभिन्न अंग बनाने वाली भारत की पहली राज्य सरकार बन गई है। यह मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के दिल्ली को ईवी कैपिटल बनाने के मिशन को पूरा करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण क़दम है। इससे पूरी दिल्ली में  3 किमी के दायरे में एक ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशन स्थापित करने का लक्ष्य प्राप्त किया जा सकेगा ।”

अमित भट्ट, कार्यकारी निदेशक, मोबिलिटी इनिशिएटिव्स, डब्ल्यूआरआई इंडिया ने कहा कि शोध से पता चलता है कि अधिकांश निजी मोटर वाहन आवासीय सोसाइटियों के पार्किंग स्थानों में 95 फीसद समय के लिए पार्क किए जाते हैं। चार्जिंग पॉइंट्स की उपलब्धता से इन वाहनों को  चार्ज करना आसान हो जायेगा । आवासीय ईवी चार्जिंग गाइडबुक के लॉन्च के साथ, दिल्ली सरकार ने ईवी चार्जिंग के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पहलू को संबोधित किया है, जो कि होम चार्जिंग है।
दिल्ली के परिवहन मंत्री  कैलाश गहलोत ने आगे कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व में, हमारी सरकार दिल्ली को भारत की ईवी राजधानी बनाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। हमने अगस्त 2020 में एक व्यापक ईवी नीति का अनावरण किया, जिसका उद्देश्य 2024 तक शहर में ईवी अपनाने का लक्ष्य हासिल करना था। नीति के माध्यम से, हमने सुनिश्चित किया है कि हम न केवल मांग पक्ष प्रोत्साहन के माध्यम से ईवी की खरीद को प्रोत्साहित करेंगे  बल्कि आपूर्ति पक्ष को भी बढ़ावा देंगे । नागरिकों को सब्सिडी के माध्यम से चार्जिंग प्वाइंट विकास और निजी और अर्ध-सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर चार्जिंग पॉइंट की स्थापना के लिए सिंगल विंडो सुविधा एक अनूठी पहल है।  इससे दिल्ली के लोगों  को ईवी अपनाने में आसानी होगी ।

Food & Civil Supplies Minister Shri Imran Hussain conducted a surprise inspection of Fair Price Shops(FPSs) in Kasturba Nagar assembly constituency today. He checked the smooth distribution of free ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKAY) to the beneficiaries. During the inspection Shri Madan Lal, MLA Kasturba Nagar,  Dy. Commissioner(F&S) Assistant Commissioner (F&S), Food & Supplies Officer and enforcement team also accompanied the Minister.

During the visit, the Food & Supplies Minister personally examined the quality and stock of ration at Fair Price Shops.  The Minister expressed satisfaction with the quality of ration available in the ration shops and asked the ration shopkeepers to distribute good quality food grains to the beneficiaries. The Minister directed F&S officers to take strict action as per law against erring ration dealers who do not open shop regularly, collect the cost of foodgrains illegally,  distribute less than stipulated quantity of ration or indulge in any malpractices such as diversion of foodgrains, hoarding, black-marketing, short dispensing of ration, misbehaving with beneficiaries etc.

Shri Imran Hussain also informed that for effective management at Fair Price shops, Delhi Government has deployed civil defense volunteers to ensure social distancing norms and orderly distribution of free ration to the beneficiaries.  He directed the Food & Civil Supplies department to ensure that the Civil Defence Volunteers deputed at FPSs should monitor all the beneficiaries visiting FPS shops for getting ration, are wearing masks and are following social distancing norms. The Minister also directed the officers to ensure that FPS dealers adopt Covid appropriate behaviour at all times during Ration distribution. 

During the visit, various queries and grievances of residents related to smooth ration distribution were also addressed. Few residents also met with the Minister during the inspection.  On the issue of pendency of applications for issuance of new Ration Cards and addition of beneficiaries in existing Ration Cards in Delhi, the Minister desired to convene a review meeting of the Food and Supplies Department to settle the grievances.

Addressing the residents, F&S Minister informed that the Kejriwal Government has given a huge relief to the people of Delhi amidst the Covid Pandemic. The Kejriwal Government has extended the period for free ration supply to the beneficiaries for another six months i.e upto May 2022 to mitigate the economic hardship caused by the Pandemic Covid-19. The underprivileged of Delhi have been receiving free ration ever since the pandemic struck in March-April 2020 and needy people are getting free ration through their ration cards and also those without having ration cards.

दिल्ली के खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री श्री इमरान हुसैन ने आज राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम (एनएफएसए) 2013 और प्रधानमंत्री गरीब कल्याण अन्न योजना (पीएमजीकेएवाई) के तहत  मुफ्त राशन के सुचारू वितरण की जांच के लिए कस्तूरबा नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्र में राशन की दुकानों (एफपीएस) का औचक निरीक्षण किया। निरीक्षण के दौरान कस्तूरबा नगर के विधायक मदनलाल, उपायुक्त (खाद्य आपूर्ति), सहायक आयुक्त (एफ एंड एस), खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति अधिकारी और प्रवर्तन दल के अधिकारी मंत्री के साथ मौजूद थें।

इस दौरान खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री ने व्यक्तिगत रूप से राशन की दुकानों पर स्टोर किये गए राशन की गुणवत्ता और स्टॉक की जांच की। खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति मंत्री ने राशन की दुकानों में उपलब्ध राशन की गुणवत्ता को सही पाया  और राशन दुकानदारों को लाभार्थियों को अच्छी गुणवत्ता वाले खाद्यान्न वितरित करने के लिए कहा। उन्होंने खाद्य और आपूर्ति अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि वे ऐसे राशन डीलरों के खिलाफ कानून सम्मत कार्रवाई करें जो नियमित रूप से राशन दुकान नहीं खोलते हैं,  निर्धारित मात्रा से कम राशन वितरित करते हैं या किसी अन्य तरह के कदाचार जैसे कि खाद्यान्न का डायवर्जन, जमाखोरी, कालाबाजारी, राशन का कम वितरण, लाभार्थियों के साथ दुर्व्यवहार आदि में शामिल हैं।

खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री श्री इमरान हुसैन ने यह भी कहा कि राशन की दुकानों पर प्रभावी प्रबंधन के लिए, दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा सामाजिक सुरक्षा मानदंडों को सुनिश्चित करने और लाभार्थियों को मुफ्त राशन का सुचारु वितरण सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सिविल डिफेन्स वालंटियर्स को तैनात किया गया  है। उन्होंने खाद्य आपूर्ति विभाग को यह सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया कि राशन दुकानों पर तैनात सिविल डिफेन्स वालंटियर्स यह सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि एफपीएस की दुकानों पर आने वाले सभी लाभार्थी मास्क पहने हुए हैं और सामाजिक दूरी के मानदंडों का पालन कर रहे हैं। खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री ने अधिकारियों को यह भी सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया कि राशन डीलर वितरण के समय कोविड उपयुक्त व्यवहार अपनाएं।

राशन दुकानों के निरीक्षण के दौरान स्थानीय निवासियों के सुचारू राशन वितरण से संबंधित समस्याओं का तत्काल निस्तारण भी किया गया। इस दौरान कुछ स्थानीय निवासियों ने खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री के समक्ष नए राशन कार्ड और पुराने राशन कार्डो में लाभार्थियों का नाम दर्ज करने से संबंधित लंबित आवेदनों पर चर्चा की, इस विषय पर खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री ने अधिकारियों से खाद्य आपूर्ति विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक बुलाने  को कहा जिससे नए राशन कार्ड के लम्बित आवेदनों से संबंधित शिकायतों का निराकरण समयबद्ध तरीके से हो सके।

खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री ने स्थानीय निवासियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि अरविंद केजरीवाल सरकार ने कोविड महामारी के दौरान दिल्ली की जनता को बड़ी राहत दी है। केजरीवाल सरकार ने कोविड -19 महामारी के कारण होने वाली आर्थिक कठिनाई को कम करने के लिए लाभार्थियों को मुफ्त राशन आपूर्ति को छह महीने के लिए यानी मई 2022 तक बढ़ा दिया है। कोरोना महामारी को देखते हुए दिल्ली के राशन लाभार्थियों  को मार्च-अप्रैल 2020 से ही मुफ्त राशन दिया जा रहा है। दिल्ली में राशन कार्ड वाले लाभार्थियों के साथ गैर-पीडीएस लाभार्थियों (बिना राशन कार्ड ) को भी मुफ्त  राशन दिया जा रहा है।

केजरीवाल सरकार दिल्ली निवासियों को 24 घंटे पानी की आपूर्ति करने के अपने लक्ष्य की ओर तेज़ी से अग्रसर है। दिल्ली के जल मंत्री एवं दिल्ली जल बोर्ड (डीजेबी) के अध्यक्ष श्री सत्येंद्र जैन ने एक ट्वीट कर कहा कि दिल्ली जल बोर्ड (डीजेबी) ने आज रिकॉर्ड मात्रा में पानी का उत्पादन करके एक नया रिकॉर्ड स्थापित किया है। सोमवार को दिल्ली में जल उत्पादन बढ़कर 956 एमजीडी के रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर पहुंच गया। उन्होंने कहा कि नए वॉटर फ़िल्टर के चालू होने के साथ, चंद्रवाल डब्ल्यूटीपी ने रिकॉर्ड 100 एमजीडी के आंकड़े को पार कर लिया। धीरे- धीरे, दिल्ली जल बोर्ड दिल्ली वासियों को 24 घंटे पानी उपलब्ध कराने के अपने लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ रहा है।आमतौर पर, दिल्ली में दैनिक जल उत्पादन औसतन 940 – 945 एमजीडी  रहता है। लेकिन सोमवार को जब सभी वॉटर ट्रीटमेंट ने अपनी क्षमता के पीक पर काम करना चालू किया तो यह बढ़कर  956 एमजीडी हो गया। दिल्ली में पानी के इस उत्पादन से सप्लाइ में कई गुना उछाल आया है।

  उल्लेखनीय है कि दिल्ली में सभी 9 जल उपचार संयंत्र (डब्ल्यूटीपी) अपनी चरम क्षमता पर काम कर रहे हैं। इसलिए दिल्ली जल बोर्ड यह उपलब्धि हासिल कर पाया है। यह डब्ल्यूटीपी वजीराबाद, चंद्रवाल, भागीरथी, सोनिया विहार, हैदरपुर, नांगलोई, द्वारका, बवाना और ओखला में स्थित हैं।

दिल्ली सरकार ने अपने जल उपचार संयंत्रों को नए और आधुनिक तकनीक का इस्तेमाल कर उन्हे अपग्रेड किया है। इन संयंत्रों में लगे नए सैंड फिल्टर पानी की सफाई में उल्लेखनीय बदलाव ला रहे हैं। इससे चंद्रवाल जल उपचार संयंत्र को पहले दर्ज किए गए 94 एमजीडी की तुलना में 100 एमजीडी के जल उत्पादन रिकॉर्ड को पार करने में मदद मिली है। इसी तरह, हैदरपुर डब्ल्यूटीपी में सोमवार को रिकॉर्ड 235.45 एमजीडी जल का उत्पादन हुआ, जबकि नांगलोई डब्ल्यूटीपी में 43.69 एमजीडी जल उत्पादन दर्ज की गई। मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन ने कहा कि सिस्टम को कुशल और मजबूत बनाने के लिए पुराने तरीकों से चलने वाले संयंत्रों को अब अपग्रेड किया जा रहा है।

 डीजेबी 24 घंटे जलापूर्ति की परियोजनाओं से संबंधित कार्यों में तेजी लाने के लिए नई और अत्याधुनिक तकनीकों को नियोजित कर रहा है। इससे पहले, डीजेबी ने एक इन-हाउस तकनीक विकसित की थी, जिसे ‘एक्सट्रैक्शन वेल’ के रूप में जाना जाता है, जिसमें पारंपरिक ट्यूबवेल की तुलना में पांच गुना अधिक पानी निकालने की क्षमता होती है।

दिल्ली जल बोर्ड पानी के उत्पादन को बढ़ाने के लिए अलग-अलग नवीन परियोजनाओं जैसे अमोनिया हटाने के संयंत्र, जिससे अमोनिया इंटॉक्सिकेशन ख़त्म होगा और लवणता को कम करने के लिए आरओ प्लांट, टोटल हाई डिज़ॉल्व्ड सॉलिड (टीडीएस) कम करने का प्लांट, मौजूदा डब्ल्यूटीपी क्षमता को बढ़ाने के लिए उन्नत फिल्टर और सूक्ष्म प्रदूषकों को हटाने के लिए अल्ट्राफिल्ट्रेशन जाली लगाने जैसे कदम शामिल है।

दिल्ली सरकार दिल्ली के हर घर में 24 घंटे पेयजल आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ऐसी नवीन तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल आने वाले वक़्त में भी करता रहेगा, ताकि इस लक्ष्य को जल्द से जल्द पूरा किया जा सके।

The Kejriwal government’s commitment to provide 24×7 water supply to the people of Delhi is reaching new milestones day by day. In a tweet, Water Minister and Delhi Jal Board Chairman Shri Satyendar Jain, highlighted the new record set by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) by producing an all time high amount of water in a single day. The water production rose to a record of 956 MGD (millions of gallons per day) on Monday. He said, “Today, the DJB has achieved its all-time high water production mark of 956 MGD. With the commissioning of new water filters, Chandrawal WTP has crossed its water production mark of 100 MGD. Gradually, DJB is moving towards its goal of providing 24×7 water supply to Delhiites.” Usually, the average daily water production in Delhi remains about 940-945 MGD. There has been a manifold jump in the water production in Delhi and the performance shows the commitment of the Kejriwal Government to provide 24×7 water supply to the people of Delhi.

The new water production feat was made possible because of all 9 Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) working at their peak capacity. These WTPs are situated in Wazirabad, Chandrawal, Bhagirathi, Sonia Vihar, Haider Pur, Nangloi, Dwarka, Bawana and Okhla.

The Delhi Government has introduced quite a few new-age technologies in its Water Treatment Plants. New sand filters in these plants are making a remarkable difference in cleaning and processing water. This has led Chandrawal Water Treatment Plant to cross the water production record mark of 100 MGD compared to 94 MGD recorded earlier. Similarly, Haiderpur WTP recorded a whopping increase to 235.45 MGD of water while the Nangloi WTP recorded an increase to 43.69 MGD. Shri Satyendar Jain said, “Old and obsolete methods are now being replaced with advanced technologies to make the system efficient and robust.”

To increase the water availability in all households of Delhi, the Delhi Jal Board has installed new prefabricated sand filters that have high flow rates. The DJB has further proposed to enhance the capacity of Chandrawal Water Treatment Plant by 9 MGD and Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant 16 MGD in the next 6 months.

DJB is employing new and state-of-art technologies to expedite works that are related to 24×7 water supply projects. Earlier, DJB had developed an in-house technology known as ‘Extraction Wells’ which have a capacity to extract five times more water compared with the conventional tube wells.

The Delhi Jal Board is also working on separate innovative projects to augment water production like ammonia removal plants to eliminate ammonia intoxication, RO plants to handle high total dissolved solids (TDS) and salinity, advance filters and settlers to enhance existing WTP capacity, ultrafiltration membrane to remove advanced pollutants and many more.

The Delhi Government will continue to employ such innovative technologies to ensure increased water production and 24X7 drinking water supply to every household of Delhi.

During the mega event more than 100 selected business ideas by student entrepreneurs will be showcased. This will be an opportunity for the investors visiting at the summit to directly invest in the projects of their choice. These ideas for the expo have been selected after rigorous assessment by eminent entrepreneurs and experts. Along with the investment for their business ideas, students who will qualify the final round will get the direct admission in state universities like Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi Skills and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) to pursue Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), said Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia on Monday. 

While inviting the investors from all across the country to “Business Blasters Investment Summit and Expo” he added that investors must come and encourage the budding entrepreneurs from Delhi Government Schools. It is important to mention here that these ideas have so much potential in them that many investors who wanted to support these bright budding entrepreneurs have offered the support of more than Rs 12 crores through Business Blasters website. This program has helped in changing the mindset of students. 

He mentioned that, this expo will be an opportunity for the investors to meet the CEOs of prominent future companies like Tata, Birla, Infosys, Facebook, Tesla etc and see where they are beginning their journeys from. He added that, even those not willing to invest should come to see how on getting an opportunity students of Delhi government schools are becoming job providers and are contributing to the economy of the nation.

Shri Sisodia added that unemployment is such a major issue in the country that, when a job vacancy with the eligibility of 8th pass criteria is released, most of the applicants are either graduate, post graduate or Phd holders. On assessing the situation, it was observed that today’s generation is lacking an entrepreneurship mindset and thus the Business Blasters program was introduced to inculcate the same. 

When the Business Blasters program was telecasted on a national television channel for the first time, Delhi as well as the whole country saw how students of Delhi government schools earned great profits from a small seed money invested in their business ideas. Many investors who wanted to support these bright budding entrepreneurs have offered the support of more than Rs 12 crores through Business Blasters website, said the Deputy Chief Minister. 

Business Blasters program is one of the world’s largest startup programs wherein over 3 lakh students of Delhi government schools formed over 51,000 teams and they received seed money of Rs 60 crore. In the first phase of the program, 1000 business ideas were selected at the school, zonal and district levels, with the help of different experts. Thereafter, through a competition more than 100 business ideas have been shortlisted for the Expo. Qualifiers from the expo and those with the higher investment amounts will be given admission in prominent state universities like DTU, DSEU, IGDTUW, NSUT directly.

The Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC), in collaboration with World Resources Institute, India (WRI India) will be launching the ‘Residential Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Guidebook’ to simplify and enable the adoption of EV charging in all types of residential areas in Delhi on Monday.

The guidebook will be launched on 28th February (Monday) at 12 noon in the presence of Transport Minister, Shri Kailash Gahlot, Vice-Chairperson of DDC, Shri Jasmine Shah, Mehrauli MLA, Shri Naresh Yadav, Executive Director (Integrated Transport) WRI India, Shri Amit Bhatt,  and representatives of various Resident Welfare Association (RWAs) in Delhi.

Chief Guest at the guidebook launch event, Shri Kailash Gahlot, will also inaugurate two EV chargers at Pockets B & C, Vasant Kunj, installed under Delhi Government’s single-window facility. Heads of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), United RWAs Joint Action (URJA), Delhi and The Federation of CGHS, Dwarka Ltd. will also join to discuss ways to promote EV charging in residential areas of Delhi.

The document guides residential societies in understanding the importance of EV charging, details the processes involved in planning, installing and managing EV charging stations in the parking space of the societies. The document also addresses some of the common concerns (such as lack of space, capital investment, power load management etc.) and shares the best practices for RWAs. 

Through this guidebook, Delhi Government seeks to encourage all residential societies (old neighbourhood areas, planned colonies, DDA flats, Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHS), Government housing societies, employer housing etc.) based out of Delhi, to join hands with the Delhi Government in promoting electric vehicles (EVs) by adopting EV charging in their residential societies.

Shri Jasmine Shah said, “Under the vision set by CM Arvind Kejriwal of making Delhi the EV capital of India, Delhi government has taken many pioneering steps to promote adoption of EVs and build charging infrastructure at mass scale. By launching this step-by-step guidebook, the Delhi government will become the first state government in India to make RWAs and residential areas an integral part of the EV movement. RWAs across Delhi have expressed their interest to Delhi govt of joining the EV revolution. This guidebook will facilitate that journey and enable the people of Delhi to access EV charging points in colonies all over Delhi.”

Amit Bhatt, Executive Director (Integrated Transport), WRI India said, “According to the US Department of Energy, over 80 percent of EV charging happens at home. Therefore, having home charging is a must for scaling up EV and with the launch of this guidebook, the Delhi Government has closed the loop for developing the EV charging infrastructure for Delhi.”

The Delhi Government announced the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy in August 2020, with a vision to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in the city and to make Delhi the EV Capital of India. The policy aims to improve Delhi’s air quality by driving the transition to electric vehicles, so that they can reach 25% of all new vehicle registrations by 2024.

In line with this vision, Delhi Government has taken several steps, including directing all residential institutions with a parking capacity of 100 or more vehicles to reserve 5% of their parking space for EVs with suitable EV chargers with a minimum output of 3.3KW. As per Delhi Development Authority’s amended United Building Bye Laws (2016), 20% of all parking capacity in buildings must be provided with charging infrastructure for EVs.

In order to provide all the support needed to simplify EV adoption processes for residential societies, Delhi Government also provides a grant of 100% for the purchase of charging equipment up to INR 6,000 per charging point for the first thirty thousand charging points as well as a special EV tariff for EV charging. BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) and Tata Power-DDL (TPDDL) consumers can get a private EV charging point installed through an online single-window portal at their homes, group housing societies, multi-storey apartment complexes, RWA offices etc.

Owing to these progressive decisions, Delhi is witnessing a rapid transition to electric vehicles. Between September and November 2021, EVs accounted for 9% of the vehicle sales in Delhi, while the national average was 1.6%.

दिल्ली के डायलॉग एंड डेवलपमेंट कमीशन (डीडीसी) द्वारा डब्ल्यूआरआई इंडिया के सहयोग से रिहायशी इलाकों में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों की चार्जिंग को आसान बनाने के लिए सोमवार को ‘आवासीय इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन (ईवी) चार्जिंग गाइडबुक’ लॉन्च की जाएगी। गाइडबुक का विमोचन 28 फरवरी को दोपहर 12 बजे परिवहन मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत, डीडीसी के उपाध्यक्ष जस्मीन शाह, महरौली विधायक नरेश यादव, डब्ल्यूआरआई इंडिया के कार्यकारी निदेशक (एकीकृत परिवहन) अमित भट्ट और आरडब्ल्यूए के प्रतिनिधियों की उपस्थिति में किया जाएगा।

गाइडबुक लॉन्च इवेंट में मुख्य अतिथि कैलाश गहलोत दिल्ली सरकार की सिंगल-विंडो सुविधा के तहत वसंत कुंज के पॉकेट बी एंड सी में बनाए गए दो ईवी चार्जर का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इस दौरान बीएसईएस राजधानी पावर लिमिटेड (बीआरपीएल), यूनाइटेड आरडब्ल्यूए ज्वाइंट एक्शन (यूआरजेए), दिल्ली और द फेडरेशन ऑफ सीजीएचएस, द्वारका लिमिटेड के प्रमुख भी आवासीय क्षेत्रों में ईवी चार्जिंग को बढ़ावा देने के तरीकों पर चर्चा करेंगे।

यह गाइडबुक लोगों को ईवी चार्जिंग के महत्व को समझने में मदद करेगी। इसके अलावा लोगों और आरडब्ल्यूए को सोसाइटियों के पार्किंग क्षेत्र में ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशन बनाने की जानकारी मिलेगी। साथ ही कुछ सामान्य समस्याओं (जैसे स्थान की कमी, पूंजी निवेश, बिजली भार प्रबंधन आदि) से जुड़ीं दिक्कतों को दूर करने में मदद मिलेगी।

इस गाइडबुक के माध्यम से दिल्ली सरकार सभी आवासीय सोसायटियों (पुराने क्षेत्रों, नियोजित कॉलोनियों, डीडीए फ्लैट्स, सहकारी समूह हाउसिंग सोसाइटीज़, सरकारी आवास समितियों आदि) को ईवी चार्जिंग को अपनाकर इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों (ईवी) को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना चाहती है।

डीडीसी उपाध्यक्ष जस्मिन शाह ने कहा कि दिल्ली को भारत की ईवी राजधानी बनाने के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल के विजन को पूरा करने के लिए दिल्ली सरकार ने ईवी को बढ़ावा देने और बड़े स्तर पर चार्जिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर बनाने के लिए कई कदम उठाए हैं। इस गाइडबुक को लॉन्च करके दिल्ली सरकार आरडब्ल्यूए और आवासीय क्षेत्रों को ईवी आंदोलन का एक अभिन्न अंग बनाने वाली भारत की पहली राज्य सरकार बन जाएगी। पूरी दिल्ली में आरडब्ल्यूए ने ईवी क्रांति में शामिल होने की इच्छा जाहिर की है। इससे दिल्ली की सभी कॉलोनियों में ईवी चार्जिंग पॉइंट बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।

डब्ल्यूआरआई इंडिया के कार्यकारी निदेशक (एकीकृत परिवहन) अमित भट्ट ने कहा कि अमेरिकी ऊर्जा विभाग के अनुसार 80 प्रतिशत से अधिक इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन घर पर चार्ज होते हैं। ऐसे में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए होम चार्जिंग होना जरूरी है।

दिल्ली सरकार ने शहर में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा देने और दिल्ली को भारत की ईवी राजधानी बनाने के दृष्टिकोण के साथ अगस्त 2020 में दिल्ली इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन नीति की घोषणा की। जिसके तहत 2024 तक कुल पंजीकृत होने वाले वाहनों में 25 फीसदी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों के पंजीकरण का लक्ष्य तय किया है।  इसके अलावा इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा देकर दिल्ली की वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार करना है।

केजरीवाल सरकार ने ईवी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कई कदम उठाए हैं। जिसमें 100 या अधिक वाहनों की पार्किंग क्षमता वाले सभी आवासीय संस्थानों को ईवी चार्जिंग के लिए 5 फीसदी क्षेत्र आरक्षित करने का निर्देश दिया है। दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण के संशोधित यूनाइटेड बिल्डिंग बाय लॉज़ (2016) के अनुसार, इमारतों में कुल पार्किंग क्षमता का 20 फीसदी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों के लिए चार्जिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकसित किया जाना चाहिए।

आवासीय सोसायटियों के लिए दिल्ली सरकार पहले तीस हजार चार्जिंग पॉइंट के लिए 6,000 रुपये प्रति चार्जिंग पॉइंट तक चार्जिंग अनुदान भी प्रदान करती है। ईवी चार्जिंग के लिए बिजली की विशेष ईवी टैरिफ दर तय की गई हैं। बीएसईएस राजधानी पावर लिमिटेड, बीएसईएस यमुना पावर लिमिटेड (बीवाईपीएल) और टाटा पावर-डीडीएल के उपभोक्ता अपने घरों में ऑनलाइन सिंगल-विंडो पोर्टल के माध्यम से निजी ईवी चार्जिंग प्वाइंट स्थापित कर सकते हैं।

इन बड़े और बेहतर फैसलों के कारण दिल्ली में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों की संख्या तेजी से बढ़ रही है। दिल्ली में सितंबर और नवंबर 2021 में वाहनों की बिक्री में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों का 9 फीसदी हिस्सा था, जबकि राष्ट्रीय औसत 1.6% था।

केजरीवाल सरकार दिल्ली में यमुना नदी की सफाई के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। किसी भी बड़ी नदी को साफ करने के लिए उसके श्रोतों को साफ करना जरूरी होता है। ठीक इसी तर्ज़ पर, यमुना में गिरने वाले सभी गंदे नालों की सफाई का बेड़ा दिल्ली सरकार ने उठाया है। नालों के पानी की गुणवत्ता में सुधार की दिशा में कई कदम उठाए गए हैं। जल मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन द्वारा शुरू की गई परियोजना के सकारात्मक परिणाम अब दिखने शुरू हो गए हैं। प्रमुख नालों पर बनाए गए अस्थायी बांधों के कारण अब नालों के बी.ओ.डी. स्तर में सुधार आया है। साथ ही अन्य प्रदूषकों की मात्रा को कम करने में काफी मदद मिली है।

यमुना को स्वच्छ करने की दिशा में चल रही गतिविधियों के अनुरूप, दिल्ली सरकार का सिंचाई और बाढ़ नियंत्रण विभाग, यमुना के सबसे बड़े प्रदूषक यानी नजफगढ़ ड्रेन और सप्लीमेंट्री ड्रेन के उपचार के लिए अपनी योजनाओं को क्रियान्वित कर रहा है। इस योजना के तहत, नालों के जरिये यमुना के प्रदूषित होने की समस्या के समाधान पर काम किया जा रहा है। सिंचाई एवं बाढ़ नियंत्रण विभाग (आई.एफ.सी.डी.) मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन ने कहा कि यमुना को प्रदूषित करने वाले नालों की सफाई होते ही यमुना अपने आप साफ होने लगेगी। यमुना में मिलने वाले दूषित नालों में प्रदूषकों की मात्रा को कम करने के लिए अस्थाई बांधों का निर्माण एक प्रभावशाली तरीका साबित हो रहा है।

इस परियोजना के तहत, दिल्ली सरकार ने नजफगढ़ ड्रेन और सप्लीमेंट्री ड्रेन के पानी की गुणवत्ता में सुधार लाने के काम की शुरुआत कर दी है। इस पहल में नजफगढ़ ड्रेन – जो यमुना में गिरने से पहले लगभग 57 किमी चलती है और सप्लीमेंट्री ड्रेन, जो ककरौला रेगुलेटर के पास से निकलती है और नजफगढ़ नाले में गिरती है, दोनों को साफ किया जाएगा। इसके लिए इन नालों के रास्ते में छोटे-छोटे अस्थायी बांध बनाए गए हैं।

एक अस्थाई बांध या मेड़, जो नालों पर बना छोटा अवरोध होता है और यह जल स्तर को ऊपर की तरफ थोड़ा और उठाने में मदद करता है। बांध पानी को अपने पीछे जमा होने देते हैं। बहते पानी के अवरोध को बढ़ाने के लिए नाले के बीच-प्रवाह में बांध बनाए जाते हैं। इससे भारी प्रदूषक वहीं नीचे रुक जाते हैं और पानी धीरे-धीरे निकाल जाता है।

वर्तमान में, दिल्लीजल बोर्ड (डी.जे.बी.) अपने इंटरसेप्टर सीवर प्रोजेक्ट (आई.एस.पी.) के माध्यम से नजफगढ़ के साथ-साथ सप्लीमेंट्री ड्रेन के अपशिष्ट जल का उपचार करता है।

इसके अलावा, सिंचाई एवं बाढ़ नियंत्रण विभाग द्वारा और भी कई कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं, जिनमे मुख्य रूप से  नालियों की गाद निकालना, अपशिष्ट अवरोधों की स्थापना, तैरते ठोस पदार्थों को निकालने के लिए फ्लोटिंग बूम का इस्तेमाल, ठोस अपशिष्ट और निर्माण कार्यों से निकले अपशिष्टों को नाले से हटाना, कचरा और अन्य खरपतवार हटाना, नाली की भूमि में डंपिंग को रोकने के लिए चारदीवारी की मरम्मत करना, पुलों पर तार की जाली का निर्माण, चेतावनी बोर्ड की स्थापना और इनलेट्स जाली को नाली के मुंह लगाना शामिल है।

इस परियोजना के तहत सप्लीमेंट्री ड्रेन पर 11 व नजफगढ़ ड्रेन पर 3 बांध का निर्माण कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है, जबकि 10 बांध का कार्य प्रगति पर है। हाल ही में निर्मित बांधों ने सकारात्मक परिणाम दिखाना शुरू कर दिया है और इसलिए आने वाले समय में इस परियोजना की सफल होने संभावना बढ़ती जा रही है।

उपरोक्त उपायों को लागू करने के बाद, सिंचाई एवं बाढ़ नियंत्रण विभाग ने इन उपायों के प्रभाव के बारे में एक परीक्षण रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की।

इस रिपोर्ट को बनाने के लिए रिठाला एसटीपी, रोहिणी सेक्टर 11 के पास बने बांध, रोहिणी सेक्टर 16 में बने बांध और रोहिणी सेक्टर 15 में बने बांध के पास से सेंपल एकत्रित किए गए, जिससे पता लगा की-

1. अस्थाई बांध-निर्माण के बाद सस्पेंडेड ठोस पदार्थों में भारी कमी आई है। रिठाला से रोहिणी सेक्टर 15 के बीच कुल सस्पेंडेड ठोस पदार्थ का स्तर 166 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर से घटकर केवल 49 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर रह गया है।

2. यह परिणाम अपशिष्ट जल में अमोनिया की मात्रा में आने वाली भारी कमी को भी दर्शाता हैं। परीक्षण में पाया गया कि रिठाला में अमोनिया का स्तर 26 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर था जो रोहिणी सेक्टर 15 तक आते आते मात्र 18 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर रह गया।

3. प्रत्येक बांध से गुजरने के बाद गंदे पानी में जैव रासायनिक ऑक्सीजन मांग (बीओडी) का स्तर धीरे-धीरे कम होता हुआ नज़र आया। परीक्षण में दर्ज बीओडी का स्तर रिठाला एसटीपी के पास 83 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर था, जो  रोहिणी सेक्टर 15 तक आते आते घटकर 27 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर रह गया।

 इस प्रक्रिया को प्रशासनिक स्तर पर तेज़ी और यमुना सफाई के उद्देश्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए, बेहतर समन्वय और एकीकृत दृष्टिकोण सुनिश्चित करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के निर्देशन में पिछले साल नवंबर में यमुना सफाई सेल (वाई.सी.सी.) का गठन किया गया था। यमुना सफाई कार्य योजना के क्रियान्वयन के लिए यह सेल जिम्मेदार है। इस सेल द्वारा लिए गए निर्णय पर संबंधित विभागों के सदस्यों को समयबद्ध तरीके से कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने के आदेश दिये गए हैं।

The Kejriwal government is committed towards cleaning the Yamuna River in Delhi. To clean any big river, its drains & tributaries must be cleaned. A series of initiatives have been taken in this direction to improve the quality of the water in the drains that fall into the Yamuna. The project launched by Water Minister Shri Satyendar Jain has now started to show positive results. Temporary weirs built on major drains have substantially helped to clean the drains by improving their biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) level and decreasing the amount of other pollutants as well.

In line with the ongoing activities for cleaning Yamuna, the Irrigation & Flood Control Department of the Delhi Government is executing their plans to treat the largest polluters of the Yamuna, i.e. Najafgarh Drain & Supplementary Drain on the river stretch. Focus is being laid on solving the problem of pollution from drains directly into the Yamuna. Minister of the Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Shri Satyendar Jain said, “Cleaning the contributing drains of Yamuna will directly lead us towards cleaning the river. Construction of temporary weirs is proving to be an impactful approach to reduce the amount of pollutants contaminating the contributing drains of Yamuna”

Following the same, the Delhi government has successfully initiated the work to improve the water quality of the Najafgarh Drain and Supplementary Drain. The initiative tends to polish the Najafgarh drain that enters Delhi at Dhansa, runs about 57 km before falling into the Yamuna, and the supplementary drain, which takes off from near Kakrola Regulator and outfalls into the Najafgarh Drain.

A weir is a small barrier built across a stream or river that helps to raise the water level slightly on the upstream side. Weirs allow water to pool behind them while allowing water to flow steadily over top of the weir. Weirs are erected in the mid-flow of the drain to increase the retention of flowing water.  Currently, DJB treats the wastewater of the drains falling into both the Najafgarh as well as the Supplementary drain, only by trapping it through its Interceptor Sewer Project (ISP).

Apart from this, measures that are being carried out by the Irrigation and Flood Control department include, desilting of the drains, installation of trash barriers, floating boom to trap floating solid materials, removal of municipal solid waste (MSW) and construction and demolition (C&D) waste from the drains, removal of hyacinth, garbage, patera, and other weeds, Raising and repairing of boundary walls to prevent dumping in drain land, erection of wire mesh jalies at bridges, installation of warning boards and fixing of jalies at the mouth of inlets.

Under this project, construction of 11 weirs has been completed on the Supplementary Drain and 3 weirs have been completed on the Najafgarh Drain, while work on 10 weirs is in progress. The recently constructed weirs have already started to show positive results, and thus the project is bound to turn out tremendously successful in the long run.

After implementing the above measures, the Irrigation and Flood Control Department submitted a test report about the impact of these initiatives. The test report of the drain water collected near Rithala STP, Rohini Sector 11 Weir, Rohini Sector 16 Weir, and Rohini Sector 15 Weir shows that:-

1. There is a drastic reduction in suspended solids after the construction of the temporary weirs. Total suspended solids went down from 166 mg/L in Rithala to just 49 mg/L in Rohini Sector 15.

2. There is a substantial reduction in ammonia content in the wastewater as tests found ammonia to be 26 mg/L in Rithala and 18 mg/L in Rohini Sector 15.

3. The biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), which represents the organic material contamination, is found to be reduced after each weir. The BOD recorded in the tests was 83 mg/L near Rithala STP, which was reduced to 27 mg/L at Rohini Sector 15.

Subsequently, to boost this process administratively, the Yamuna Cleaning Cell (YCC) was constituted in November last year, under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, to ensure better coordination and an integrated approach to achieve the objective of Yamuna Cleaning. The cell is responsible for the execution of the Yamuna Cleaning Action Plan. The decision taken by the Cell is executed by the Members of the respective departments to ensure time-bound action.

The Kejriwal Government has taken a monumental step to ensure the supply of clean drinking water 24×7 for residents of Delhi. Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal had chaired a high-level meeting today to carve out a roadmap for storage of monsoon water in Yamuna, its purification, and supply throughout Delhi. He stated — Our plan is to store the excess water pouring into the Yamuna during monsoon in reservoirs and purify it for the people of Delhi. Once this strategy is successful, more such reservoirs will be built to divert excess water from the Yamuna for water supply in Delhi.

Today, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal convened a high-level meeting to discuss strategy and action plans for augmentation of fresh water (potable water) supply to delhi through storage of flood waters of Yamuna along floodplain zone in the upstream of Wazirabad Barrage During this meeting, the Chief Minister was given a presentation with several proposal on the issue. Following the presentation, the Chief Minister deliberated on key points with the experts. During this time, it was agreed to move forward with two proposals. First, a pilot catchment wetland reservoir of 459 acres at the upper end of the pondage of Wazirabad reservoir on the western bank of the river. It will store flood water upto 1735 MG at reservoir level of 208 MSL. Second, a pilot 20 acre off-river mini reservoir with 10 m depth will store 223 MG.

After deliberating on both these proposals, CM Arvind Kejriwal directed the concerned officers to initiate further action, so that work can be started on them at the earliest. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “Delhi Government is committed to provide clean drinking water to all Delhiites 24×7. The Delhi Government is taking various steps to meet the shortage of drinking water in Delhi. In view of this, the Delhi Government has made a strategy to store the monsoon and flood water of Yamuna River. Two proposals were discussed in today’s meeting. The concerned officials have been directed to proceed with both these proposals, so that the work on the pilot projects can be started soon. If these pilot projects are successful, then the Delhi Government will build many more such reservoirs, so that the excess water that comes in Yamuna can be used for drinking.”

The Delhi Government intends to purify and store excess monsoon water in the floodplain upstream of the Wazirabad barrage in order to supply potable water to Delhi residents. This will increase Delhi’s drinking water capacity. The Delhi Government is developing a strategy and action plan to develop reservoirs on a pilot basis. All the storage structures will be developed upstream of the floodplains of Wazirabad reservoirs extending up to Palla, and have minimal or no adverse impacts on the river ecology and surrounding human settlements. However, the off-river mini reservoirs will be developed outside the marginal bund.

*Action plan on two plans finalised*

In the high level meeting, the Chief Minister directed officers to proceed with the strategy of making two proposals, First, a pilot catchment wetland reservoir of 459 acres at the upper end of the pondage of Wazirabad reservoir on the western bank of the river. This accumulated water will be purified and made potable, which will be delivered to the homes of the people.  It will store flood water upto 1735 MG at reservoir level of 208 MSL. Second, A pilot 20 acre off-river mini reservoir with 10 m depth will store 223 MG. At the same time, the Delhi government plans to build a 20-acre off-river mini-reservoir in the Yamuna river to increase the storage capacity of monsoon water. The depth of this mini reservoir will be 10 metres and about 223 MG of water can be stored in it.

*Three strategies for increasing drinking water capacity have been proposed*

Three strategic approaches are proposed for storage of about 32203 MG of floodwaters.First, 20 catchment wetland storage reservoirs of 200 acres each with a depth of 2 m will have storage capacity of 8552 MG. Second, 1000 acres of expanded pondage area of Wazirabad Reservoir with 2 m depth will store 2138 MG.Third, 20 off- river mini reservoirs of 100 acres each with 10 m depth will store 21381 MG, besides generating 400 MW solar power. Besides these three strategic approaches, desilting of existing pondage area upto a depth of 2 m will create additional storage capacity of 132 MG.

मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल दिल्ली के हर घर को 24 घंटे नल से साफ पानी देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं। इसी के तहत उन्होंने आज अपने आवास एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक की। जिसमें मानसून के दौरान यमुना में आने वाले अतिरिक्त जल को स्टोर करने और उसे शुद्ध कर लोगों के घर तक पहुंचाने की योजना बनी। इस दौरान सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने संबंधित अधिकारियों को पायलट आधार पर वजीराबाद जलाशय के ऊपरी छोर पर 459 एकड़ का कैचमेंट वेटलैंड जलाशय बनाने और 20 एकड़ का ऑफ रिवर मिनी जलाशय बनाने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ने के निर्देश दिए। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार की योजना है कि मानसून के दौरान यमुना में आने वाले अतिरिक्त पानी को जलाशयों में स्टोर किया जाए और उसे शुद्ध कर लोगों के घर तक पहुंचाया जाए। हमारी यह रणनीति सफल होती है, तो ऐसे और जलाशय बनाए जाएंगे, ताकि मानूसन के दौरान यमुना में आने वाले अतिरिक्त पानी को स्टोर कर उसका इस्तेमाल पीने के लिए किया जा सके।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने आज मानसून के दौरान यमुना में आने वाले अतिरिक्त पानी को स्टोर करने और उसे साफ कर लोगों के घर तक पहुंचाने को लेकर उच्च स्तरीय बैठक की। इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री के समक्ष एक प्रजेंटेशन दिया गया। प्रजेंटेशन के उपरांत सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने प्रमुख बिंदुओं पर विचार-विमर्श किया। इस दौरान दो प्रस्तावों पर आगे बढ़ने की सहमति बनी है। पहला, यमुना नदी के पश्चिमी तट पर स्थित वजीराबाद जलाशय के ऊपरी छोर पर पायलट आधार पर 459 एकड़ का कैचमेंट वेटलैंड जलाशय बनाने की रणनीति बनी। इस जलाशय में मानसून का करीब 1735 एमजी पानी को स्टोर किया जा सकेगा। दूसरा, 20 एकड़ का ऑफ रिवर मिनी जलाशय बनाने पर विचार किया गया, जिसकी गहराई 10 मीटर तक होगी और यहां करीब 223 एमजी मानसून का पानी का स्टोर हो सकेगा।

सीएम श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने इन दोनों प्रस्तावों पर विचार-विमर्श करने के उपरांत संबंधित अधिकारियों को आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए, ताकि इस पर जल्द से जल्द काम शुरू हो सके। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल का कहना है कि दिल्ली सरकार सभी दिल्लीवासियों को 24 घंटे स्वच्छ पेयजल मुहैया कराने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। दिल्ली सरकार, दिल्ली में पेयजल की कमी को पूरा करने के लिए कई तरह के कदम उठा रही है। इसी के मद्देनजर दिल्ली सरकार ने यमुना नदी के मानसून और बाढ़ के पानी को स्टोर करने की रणनीति बनाई है। इस पर तेजी से काम चल रहा है। आज की बैठक में दो प्रस्तावों पर विचार-विमर्श किया गया। इन दोनों प्रस्तावों पर आगे बढ़ने के लिए संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया गया है, ताकि पायलट प्रोजेक्ट पर काम जल्द शुरू किया जा सके। यह पायलट प्रोजेक्ट सफल होता है, तो दिल्ली सरकार ऐसे ही और कई जलाशय बनाएगी, ताकि यमुना में आए मानूसन के अतिरिक्त पानी का इस्तेमाल पीने के लिए किया जा सके।

दरअसल, दिल्ली सरकार की योजना है कि वजीराबाद बैराज के अपस्ट्रीम के बाढ़ क्षेत्र में मानूसन के दौरान आने वाले अतिरिक्त पानी को स्टोर किया जाए और उस पानी को शुद्ध करके दिल्ली के निवासियों को पीने योग्य पानी की आपूर्ति की जाए। इससे दिल्ली में पेयजल की क्षमता में वृद्धि हो सकेगी। इसी को लेकर दिल्ली सरकार पायलट आधार पर जलाशयों का विकास करने को लेकर रणनीति और एक्शन प्लान पर काम कर रही है। इसके तहत सभी स्टोरेज स्ट्रक्चर पल्ला तक फैले वजीराबाद जलाशयों को विकसित किया जाएगा। इससे नदी की पारिस्थितिकी और आसपास के आवासीय एरिया पर कोई विपरित प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा और ऑफ-रिवर मिनी जलाशयों को सीमांत बांध के बाहर विकसित किया जाएगा।

*इन दो प्रोजेक्ट पर आगे बढ़ने की बनी रणनीति*

मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में दो प्रोजेक्ट्स, वजीराबाद जलाशय के ऊपरी छोर पर 459 एकड़ का कैचमेंट वेटलैंड जलाशय और 20 एकड़ का ऑफ रिवर मिनी जलाशय बनाने की रणनीति पर आगे बढ़ने के निर्देश दिए। पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के तहत यमुना नदी के पश्चिमी तट पर वजीराबाद जलाशय के उपरी छोर पर 459 एकड़ एरिया में कैचमेंट वेटलैंड जलाशय बनाने से 1735 एमजी मानसून का पानी जमा किया जा सकेगा। इस जमा पानी को शुद्ध कर पीने योग्य बनाया जाएगा, जो लोगों के घर तक पहुंचाया जाएगा। वहीं, दिल्ली सरकार की योजना है कि यमुना नदी में 20 एकड़ का ऑफ रिवर मिनी जलाशय बनाने से मानसून के पानी की स्टोरेज क्षमता में वृद्धि हो जाएगी। इस मिनी जलाशय की गहराई 10 मीटर होगी और इसमें करीब 223 एमजी पानी का स्टोर किया जा सकेगा।

*पेयजल क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए तीन रणनीति पर काम प्रस्तावित*

दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा यमुना के करीब 32203 एमजी मानसून के पानी को स्टोर करने के लिए तीन रणनीति प्रस्तावित की गई है। पहला, 200 एकड़ के 20 कैचमेंट वेटलैंड भंडारण जलाशय बनाए जाएंगे और सभी जलाशयों की गहराई दो मीटर होगी, जहां 8552 एमजी मानसून का पानी स्टोर किया जा सकेगा। दूसरा, वजीराबाद जलाशय के एक हजार एकड़ एरिया में तालाब का विस्तार किया जाएगा। इसकी गहराई दो मीटर होगी और यहां पर 2138 एमजी मानसून के पानी का भंडार हो सकेगा। वहीं तीसरे प्रस्ताव के तहत, 100 एकड़ के 20 ऑफ रिवर मिनी जलाशय बनाए जाएंगे। सभी जलाशयों की गहराई 10 मीटर रखी जाएगी, जहां करीब 21381 एमजी मानसून के पानी का भंडारण हो सकेगा। इन तीन रणनीतियों के अलावा, मौजूदा तालाब की दो मीटर की गहराई तक सिल्ट (गाद) निकाली जाएगी। इससे 132 एमजी पानी का अतिरिक्त भंडारण हो सकेगा।

The Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC) has partnered with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) South Asia to strengthen evidence-based policy making in order to stimulate Delhi’s social and economic development and achieve Kejriwal Government’s ambitious vision of Delhi@2047.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi and J-PAL South Asia today in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia and DDC Vice Chairperson Shri Jasmine Shah. The partnership is aimed at systematically leveraging high-quality administrative data to design, test and scale up policy solutions in key economic sectors for maximum impact.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia said, “Creating jobs in conventional as well as new-age markets is the biggest priority for the Delhi Government so that we can fulfil our vision of matching Singapore’s economy by 2047. The partnership with J-PAL South Asia will be geared towards improving employment outcomes as well as increasing the participation of women in the labour force.”

Shri Jasmine Shah said, “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Government has shown the political will to explore and incorporate best policy practices around the world and Delhi has emerged as the hub of innovation. The collaboration with J-PAL South Asia will go a long way in optimising policies to boost Delhi’s social and economic growth by unlocking high-quality administrative data. The overarching framework of the partnership is broad and can be continuously updated in accordance with changing priorities over time.”

As first steps, Delhi Government will explore optimal ways to improve employment outcomes for young workers in Delhi by overhauling the services offered by ‘Rozgar Bazaar’, government’s flagship job portal. The partnership will find better solutions to match job seekers with appropriate jobs and to provide career counselling services on the portal.

The partnership will also contribute data-based insights for Delhi’s economic policy, especially in key sectors such as Small and Medium Enterprises, by drawing upon the findings from the research done by J-PAL’s global network of  world’s leading economists.

J-PAL South Asia, under the guidance of DDC Delhi, will work closely with the health and education departments to evaluate ways to increase child immunisation rates, reduce learning deficits and school dropouts in the aftermath of the pandemic.

Moreover, the policy-research organisation will work to strengthen the culture of evidence-based policymaking within Delhi Government by organising courses for officials on data collection and survey design as well as on randomised evaluations. 

Shobhini Mukerji, Executive Director, J-PAL South Asia, said: “The Government of Delhi’s commitment toward applying scientific evidence and data in policymaking makes them our natural partner.”

इस बाबत दिल्ली के माननीय उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया  और डीडीसी वाईस-चेयरपर्सन जैस्मीन शाह की मौजूदगी में डीडीसी दिल्ली और जे-पाल दक्षिण एशिया के बीच एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किया गया| इस पार्टनरशिप का उद्देश्य मैक्सिमम इम्पेक्ट के लिए प्रमुख आर्थिक क्षेत्रों में नीतिगत समाधानों को डिजाइन, परीक्षण और स्केल अप करने के लिए हाई क्वालिटी एडमिनिस्ट्रेटिव डेटा का बेहतर ढंग से लाभ उठाना है।

इस पार्टनरशिप में पहले कदम के रूप में, J-PAL दिल्ली सरकार सरकार के प्रमुख जॉब पोर्टल, ‘रोजगार बाजार’ द्वारा दी जाने वाली सेवाओं को ओवरहाल करके दिल्ली में युवाओं  के लिए रोजगार के लिए बेहतर तरीकों का पता लगाएगी| साथ ही ये  जॉब सीकर्स को उपयुक्त नौकरियों के साथ मिलाने और पोर्टल पर करियर काउंसलिंग सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए बेहतर समाधान भी ढूंढेगी। यह साझेदारी दिल्ली की इकॉनोमिक पॉलिसी के लिए डेटा-बेस्ड इनसाइट  में भी योगदान देगी जो विशेष रूप से छोटे और मध्यम उद्यमों जैसे  क्षेत्रों में, J-PAL के दुनिया के प्रमुख अर्थशास्त्रियों के वैश्विक नेटवर्क द्वारा किए गए शोध के निष्कर्षों पर आधारित होगा।

J-PAL दक्षिण एशिया, डीडीसी दिल्ली के मार्गदर्शन में, स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा विभाग के साथ  मिलकर बच्चों के टीकाकरण दर को बढ़ाने और महामारी के बाद स्कूल ड्रापआउट को कम करने के तरीकों का मूल्यांकन करेगी| इसके अलावा ये संस्थान दिल्ली सरकार के विभिन्न विभाग के अधिकारियों को सर्वे डिज़ाइन,कलेक्शन और असेसमेंट के लिए ट्रेनिंग भी देगी जिससे विभागों में एविडेंस बेस्ड पॉलिसी मेकिंग के कल्चर को बढ़ावा मिलेगा|

The Delhi Government has put on offer a glimpse into the life of Babasaheb with its musical extravaganza. Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the opening show of Babasaheb: The Musical today. The show received an overwhelming response from the public as the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium echoed with roars of Jai Bhim. On the occasion, the CM stated — creative representation of Babasaheb’s life the best way of taking his life to the masses. Delighted to see the grandest representation of Babasaheb’s life take place in Delhi through this show. Babasaheb’s life an inspiring lesson on our society; blessed to be a devotee of Dr Ambedkar. The more we learn about Babasaheb, more we believe how there was no one else like him. What Babasaheb achieved in his life and how he struggled for the rights of the Dalits and the poor is just miraculous. Babasaheb’s life proves that nothing in this world is impossible if you have the conviction to achieve it.

The Delhi Government kicked off its grand musical, ‘Babasaheb’ today at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The event was inaugurated by the CM and attended by the whole Delhi Cabinet. On the occasion, the CM said, “I am delighted that sucha a grand show on Babasaheb’s life is being organised by the Delhi Government. We realised no matter how much we teach about his life in schools the best way to bring his life to the masses remains a creative representation. Babasaheb’s life an inspiring lesson on our society. I am blessed to be a devotee of Dr Ambedkar. Babasaheb struggled a lot throughout his life. Talking about Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein said that generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth. The more I read about Dr Ambedkar the more I believe that this quote applies to him as well. He was born in 1891 in the Mahar community. They faced discrimination and were considered untouchables. His family had barely anything to survive on. The school he went to made him sit separately outside the class. He wasn’t allowed to drink water from the vessel unless a peon poured it towards him from a distance. The same man who faced these sufferings, not just went abroad, but got PhDs from London School of Economics and Columbia University.” 

He continued, “In 1914-1915 he took admission in Columbia University. There was no internet, no mode of gathering information. I often wonder how he’d have managed to get hold of the forms of admission to the university. It just amazes me that with all the difficulties he faced, how did he get to know of Columbia, and how he admitted himself there. After getting a PhD from Columbia, he went to London School of Economics to get a PhD from there as well. Despite all the facilities and riches of life that we have been bestowed with, if our children today want to get admission in the London School of Economics it is no easy task. He did all of this without having a penny in his pocket. It was when he was at LSE that he exhausted his funds and had to come back to India to arrange money so he could continue studying there. He gets his second PhD, comes back to India and becomes the architect of our constitution. What a brilliant personality he was. The more we learn about Babasaheb, more we believe how there was no one else like him. What Babasaheb achieved in his life and how he struggled for the rights of the Dalits and the poor is just miraculous. Babasaheb: The musical went beyond conventional storytelling touched every aspect of his life. Issues like reservation, the importance of questioning, caste discrimination, untouchability, Babasaheb’s equations with his father, his professors, the polity of India were represented in a never seen before manner. The show closed to an overwhelming response and roars of Jai Bhim along with a seamless standing ovation.

The Grand Musical  on  Babasaheb  will  be  performed  in Jawaharlal  Nehru  Stadium, Delhi from 25th  February  to  12th March. The  show  has  a  stellar  cast  with Rohit  Bose  Roy as the  lead  actor, Tisca  Chopra & Teekam  Joshi as  narrators. Mahua  Chauhan  has  directed the  play,  with  music  by Indian  Ocean. The musical  extravaganza  seeks  to  provide  the  viewers  an  international  theater  experience  with  a  larger-than-life  production  showcasing  a 100-foot  stage,  with  a  40foot-wide  revolving  stage. To imbibe  the  values  and  message  of  Babasaheb,  this  show  will  also  be  shown  to every Principal,  students  and  teachers  of  Delhi  Government  schools on  subsequent  days. Everyday, there will be 2 show timings – one at 4 PM and another at 7 PM.  The show is completely free to the general public. केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा आयोजित किया जा रहा बाबा साहब डॉ. अंबेडकर के जीवन पर आधारित संगीतमय भव्य नाट्य मंचन आज से जवाहर लाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में शुरू हो गया। इस दौरान सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि एक आम आदमी तक बाबा साहब के जीवन को पहुंचाने के लिए नाटक सबसे अच्छा जरिया हो सकता है। बाबा साहब का जीवन बहुत ही प्रेरणादायी है। मैं तो अपने आपको उनका भक्त मानता हूँ। हम उनके जीवन को जितना पढ़ते हैं, उतना ही यकीन नहीं होता है कि ऐसा कोई व्यक्ति पैदा हुआ था। बाबा साहब ने अपनी जिंदगी में जो हासिल किया और दलितों- गरीबों को समाज में बराबरी के लिए जो संघर्ष किया, वह बेहद ही अद्भुत है। बाबा साहब के जीवन से एक ही संदेश मिलता है कि अगर आप पूरी लगन से लग जाओ, तो इस विश्व में कुछ भी असंभव नहीं है।

दिल्ली के जवाहर लाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में आज से शुरू हुए बाबा साहब के जीवन पर आधारित इस तरह का संगीतमय भव्य शो अपने देश में पहली बार दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा आयोजित किया जा रहा है। पहले दिन इस संगीतमय भव्य शो को देखने के लिए जानी मानी हस्तियां भी उपस्थित रहीं। साथ ही, सीएम अरविंद केजरवाल और उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया के साथ पूरा दिल्ली कैबिनेट और सभी विधायक भी मौजूद रहे। दूर-दराज से आए बड़ी संख्या में लोगों से स्टेडियम का ऑडोटोरियम खचाखच भर गया।

इस दौरान सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि मुझे बहुत खुशी है कि दिल्ली के अंदर आज से बाबा साहब डॉ. भीम राव अम्बेडकर के जीवन पर आधारित यह शो शुरू हो रहा है। हम लोग दो साल से योजना बना रहे थे कि बाबा साहब के जीवन को जन-जन तक कैसे पहुंचाया जाए? हम लोगों ने स्कूलों में भी बाबा साहब के बारे में पढ़ाने के लिए अलग से व्यवस्था की। हम लोगों ने सोचा कि एक आम आदमी तक बाबा साहब को पहुंचाने के लिए नाटक एक सबसे अच्छा जरिया हो सकता है। 

सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि बाबा साहब का जीवन बहुत ही प्रेरणादायी है। मैं तो अपने आपको उनका भक्त मानता हूँ। क्योंकि जितना हम उनके जीवन को पढ़ते हैं, उतना ही यकीन नहीं होता है कि ऐसा कोई व्यक्ति पैदा हुआ था। एक बार आइंस्टीन ने गांधी जी के बारे में बोला था कि आने वाली नस्लें यकीन नहीं करेंगी कि ऐसा व्यक्ति कभी इस धरती पर पैदा हुआ था। आइंस्टीन ने यह बात गांधी जी के बारे में कहा था, लेकिन मुझे लगता है कि यह बाबा साहब के बारे में बिल्कुल फिट होता है। 

सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि बाबा साहब एक बेहद ही गरीब घर में पैदा हुए थे। उनके घर में खाने को नहीं था। उस समय छुआछूत इतना ज्यादा था कि जब बाबा साहब स्कूल आते थे तो उन्हें बाहर बैठा दिया जाता था। वहां से निकल कर वो कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी में पीएचडी करने पहुंच गए और लंदन ऑफ इकोनॉमिक्स में पीएचडी करने पहुंच गए। मैं सोच रहा था कि आज के समय में 100 साल बाद भी हमारे बच्चों को कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी और लंदन ऑफ ईकोनॉमिक्स में जाने में नानी याद आ जाती है। कहाँ किसको एडमिशन मिलता है। आज तो इंटरनेट का जमाना है। उन दिनों तो इंटरनेट भी नहीं था। आज आप सोच कर देखिए कि 1914-15 के आसपास बाबा साहब जब कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी गए थे। तब पहली बात तो यह कि उनको कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी का नाम किसने बताया और उन्होंने फॉर्म कहा से लिया, उन्होंने आवेदन कैसे किया? मैं तो यह सोच-सोच कर दंग रह जाता हूँ कि बाबा साहब ने अपनी जिंदगी में जो हासिल किया और उन्होंने दलितों- गरीबों को समाज में बराबरी के लिए जो संघर्ष किया, वह बेहद ही अद्भुत है और अंत में उन्होंने देश का संविधान लिखा। उनके जीवन से एक ही संदेश मिलता है कि अगर आप पूरी लगन से लग जाओ, तो इस विश्व में कुछ भी असंभव नहीं है। आपको सबकुछ मिल सकता है और सब कुछ हो सकता है।

*बाबा साहब के संदेशों को लोगों तक पहुंचाएगा यह नाटक*

हम सभी बाबा साहब को भारतीय संविधान के निर्माता के रूप में जानते हैं, लेकिन उनके जीवन के ऐसे कई पहलू हैं, जिनसे आम तौर पर लोग अनजान हैं। जैसे कि एक अर्थशास्त्री के रूप में उनकी भूमिका, आरबीआई की स्थापना, महिलाओं को संपत्ति का अधिकार देना आदि। सही मायने में यह नाटक बाबा साहब के संदेश को लोगों तक पहुंचाएगा। बाबा साहब के मूल्यों और संदेश को आत्मसात करने के लिए, यह शो बाद के दिनों में दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों के प्रत्येक प्रधानाचार्य, छात्रों और शिक्षकों को भी दिखाया जाएगा। दिल्ली सरकार, दिल्ली में कला और संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए भी काम कर रहा है। इस संगीत समारोह के माध्यम से दर्शकों को एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय रंगमंच का अनुभव प्रदान करने का प्रयास है, जिसमें 40 फुट चौड़े घूमने वाले मंच के साथ 100 फुट का मंच है।

*12 मार्च तक शो का होगा आयोजन*

उल्लेखनीय है कि दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा बाबा साहब डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर के महान एवं प्रेरणादायी जीवन को एक संगीतमय नाटक के ज़रिए दर्शाया जा रहा है। दुनिया भर में बाबा साहब के करोड़ों प्रसंशक और अनुयायी हैं।  जवाहर लाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में 12 मार्च तक चलने वाले इस भव्य शो के प्रतिदिन दो शो होंगे। आम जनता के लिए यह शो बिल्कुल मुफ्त है, लेकिन सीमित सीट होने के कारण टिकट पहले बुक करना होगा। मोबाइल नंबर 8800009938 पर काल करके या www.babasahebmusical.in जाकर टिकट बुक कर सकते हैं। दिल्ली सरकार की अपील है कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा संख्या में लोग आकर नाटक देंखे और बाबा साहब के जीवन से प्रेरणा लें। इस शो में मुख्य कलाकार के रूप में रोहित बोस रॉय, कथाकार के रूप में टिस्का चोपड़ा और टीकम जोशी जैसे शानदार कलाकार हैं। महुआ चौहान ने नाटक का निर्देशन किया है।

उल्लेखनीय है कि दिल्ली सरकार ने बाबा साहब के महापरिनिर्वाण दिवस पर उनके जीवन पर भव्य संगीतमय नाटक आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया था। पहले यह नाटक पांच जनवरी से शुरू होने वाला था, लेकिन ओमिक्रॉन कोरोना की वजह से इसे स्थगित करना पड़ा था।

Undertaking the charge for the Public Works Department, Dy CM Shri Manish Sisodia comes into action. He held a meeting with officials to review progress of development projects. The residents of Delhi would now get rid of pothole-free roads within a month. If there is a defect in the construction of any road, the concerned engineer will be held responsible for it. The Public Works Department of Delhi will soon launch an app, which would enable the residents of Delhi to register their complaints against the poor infrastructure of roads. PWD Minister Manish Sisodia ordered the PWD officers in this regard during a review meeting on Friday. He reiterated the Delhi Government’s commitment to provide better facilities to the residents of Delhi, which includes better roads.

During the meeting, Shri Sisodia directed the officers that the entire stretch of roads of total 1300 km of length that falls under the PWD Delhi should be inspected; the patches, which require any repairs, should be mended within a month. He directed the officials to ensure that the roads should be repaired in an efficient manner, with no delays or nuisance. If any defects are found, an action would be initiated against the concerned engineers. 

*PWD Delhi to launch a mobile app*

PWD Delhi will soon launch a mobile application which would allow the residents of Delhi to access better services and register their complaints on the spot. This application would enable the residents of Delhi to register their complaints against the poor infrastructure of roads.

दिल्ली के नागरिकों को अब महीने भर के भीतर गड्डामुक्त सड़कों से निजात मिल जाएगा| साथ ही यदि किसी  सड़क के निर्माण में कोई खामी पाई जाती है तो वहां के संबंधित इंजिनियर पर इसकी गाज गिरेगी| दिल्ली के नागरिकों को बेहतर सड़कें मिल सके और वे खराब सड़कों को लेकर अपनी शिकायत दर्ज कर सके इसको लेकर पीडब्ल्यूडी दिल्ली जल्द ही एक ऐप लांच भी करेगी| इस बाबत पीडब्ल्यूडी मंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने शुक्रवार को को एक समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान पीडब्ल्यूडी अधिकारियों को आदेश दिए| उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार दिल्ली के नागरिकों को बेहतर सुविधाएं देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और इसमें बेहतर सड़के भी शामिल है| 

*महीनेभर के भीतर गड्ढामुक्त होंगी दिल्ली के सड़कें*

श्री सिसोदिया ने बैठक के दौरान अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि जल्द ही पीडब्ल्यूडी दिल्ली के अंतर्गत आने वाली सभी 1300 किमी की सड़कों की जाँच की जाए और जिन स्थानों पर सड़कों में पैचवर्क व मरम्मत की जरुरत है उसके एक महीने के भीतर पूरा किया जाए| उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए की सड़क मरम्मत का काम बिना किसी देरी के बेहतर ढंग से होना चाहिए और यदि कार्य में देरी होती है या कोई खामी पाई जाती है तो संबंधित इंजिनियरों के खिलाफ करवाई की जाएगी|

दिल्ली के नागरिकों को बेहतर सुविधाएं मिल सके और उनकी शिकायतों पर तुरंत करवाई की जाए इसको लेकर पीडब्ल्यूडी दिल्ली जल्द ही एक मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन भी लांच करेगी| इस एप्लीकेशन के माध्यम से दिल्ली के नागरिक ख़राब सड़कों को लेकर शिकायत कर पाएंगे|
